Reading New Mexico

Changing up my usual book challenge this year! For 2021, I'm reading 12 books set in New Mexico or written by New Mexico authors, along with my fellow Amigas Encantadas, Adem and Mercy. As usual, I've assembled my list ahead of time, but it could change. Mostly fiction, but I get a lot of local history at my library job! Some of these have been on my radar for a while. 1.    Robert F. Gish - Beautiful Swift Fox: Erna Fergusson and the Modern Southwest   ✓    2.    Kirstin Valdez Quade - Night at the Fiestas ✓   3.    Jennifer Givhan – Trinity Sight ✓    4.    Rebecca Roanhorse – Storm of Locusts ✓   5.    Kate Horsley – A Killing in New Town ✓   6.    Mira Jacob – The Sleepwalker's Guide to Dancing ✓ 7.    Ana Castillo - So Far From God ✓    8.    Denise Chavez – The Last of the Menu Girls ✓    9.    Jane Lindskold - Child of a Rainless Year ✓    10.    Mabel Dodge Luhan - Taos and Its Artists ✓   11.    Carolyn Meyer - Diary of a Waitress: The Not-So-Glamorous Life
